Sad. This can’t really be the answer. I was shocked by a video I saw on the news of a woman repeatedly being tasered (I think it was locally around here in Ohio, maybe Warren?) while being dragged in and out of a police car. Did no training come with the tasers, or is it just too much voltage in the hands of overworked officers?

Tyler – I think there is a fundamental mis-perception that tasers are non-lethal when they are anything but – and Ohio seems to be a testing ground to see how much BS Taser International can push. Look for my post later today on Taser’s Ohio truck stop sales contract.

I’m shocked. Tasering is so much touted as the “safe” alternative to guns, but clearly, a taser is a deadly weapon. Tyler, the woman was from Warren (it happened at a bar/restaurant called Up The Creek). I agree with your reaction. I couldn’t believe that this unarmed woman was repeatedly tasered by one officer while others looked on.

Lucy – thank you for stopping by and commenting – as I mentioned to Tyler Taser has worked hard to push the perception that tasers are non-lethal when they are anything but – and Ohio seems to be a testing ground to see how much BS Taser International can push. Look for my post later today on Taser’s Ohio truck stop sales contract.

Kevin Piskura was my son and daughters good friend from college. My children will never be the same from this horrific experience last year. It will be a year since this tragic event and all his friends still suffer. Thank you for your support that tasers are lethal and inhumane. There must be better training for these officers to handle these situations. All our thoughts and prayers for the Piskura Family.
