My family exists only in pictures.
1950’s classic family reunion
This picture, with all the family sitting so rigidly at what was supposed to be a family picnic, speaks volumes about the family dynamic. I am the infant on the right, sitting in my mother’s lap; my brother - 16 months older, is being held by my Aunt Ann. My father sits at the end of the table facing the camera. On his left sits his younger brother; on his right his sister’s husband, then his sister, then my mom and me.
Happier days with my brother
The last time my oldest brother gave me a hug - documented on film
